An
extended VHDL-implementation of my
phase distortion unit is used
to perform PD-like sound synthesis in my
audio
synthesizer. Unlike the former
version there are more parameters and options.

6 parameters are used to manipulate the phase and amplitude
behaviour of the both waves.


The algorithm uses two paths of signals with the original
sine wave of the given frequency and a modified version with
different phase, amplitude, envelope and wave form. A kind
of convolution tales place when joining them causing
possible high harmonics. Read
